Meet the Consultant
James Ritsema, Founder & Principal Consultant
James K. Ritsema holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Calvin College and a Master of Public Administration Degree in Program Evaluation, Urban Administration and Finance from The Ohio State University, School of Public Policy and Management.
Mr. Ritsema has over 34 years in public service; serving as Finance Director in the cities of Marshall and Battle Creek, Michigan and as Assistant City Manager in Battle Creek, Michigan. Mr. Ritsema was appointed City Manager of the City of Kalamazoo, Michigan in November, 2013. He is a Credentialed Manager of The International City Management Association and a member of Michigan Municipal Executives.
